Loyal followers of the pop star are urging that a man who jumped a barricade and touched the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A circulating clip reveals the individual from Australia pushing past media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the actors proceeded down a yellow carpet flanked by fans.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being arrested", though official papers indicated that he was due to attend court on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Record of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a performance. His Instagram profile contains videos of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last year.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," commented an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user remarked.

Followers Express Concern Over the Star's Past Trauma

Several fans criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed dealing with PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote a further message on Instagram.

A number of supporters also faulted event staff at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals demanded social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's content.

Response and Premiere Information

In videos shared widely, Grande appeared shocked when she was approached by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Many of attendees had congregated in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore mall, including a number who had queued for as long as many hours before it began.

The film, to be premiered on November 21, is the follow-up of a two-part interpretation of the acclaimed Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which centers on the unexpected friendship between two very different characters.

The show itself is a adaptation of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of the previous year in the UK, and earned a dozen Academy Award nods, securing two for best costume and set decoration.
