The England national team will commence their 2028 European Championship journey at the Manchester City’s stadium, assuming they secure the anticipated entry for a championship hosted across the majority of the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
The Etihad Stadium has not staged an Three Lions match since May 2016, when the Turkish team were beaten 2-1 in a warm-up game, but is almost certain to stage the England side for their inaugural game on a Saturday in June 2028.

The draw for the qualifiers will be held in Belfast, which was dropped as a venue city last year when it became clear the Belfast stadium could not be renovated in time, on a date in late 2026.
