Assassin's Creed Reveals Surprising Attack on Titan Crossover for Thanksgiving

In a bizarre collaboration that defies traditional expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Revealed

According to the official statement, "An unusual encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of prohibited practices and fearsome changes resonate through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden cult.

The questline centers on "peculiar trials and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Metamorphoses

The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Additional Content

Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an special katana in addition to several objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

• Mikasa outfit for Naoe

This patch also adds the game's third complimentary story episode, titled "The Enigma." This humorous quest teams Naoe and Yasuke as they swap distinctive abilities: Naoe introduces a dramatic version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires non-lethal stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "The Enigma" also includes a new environmental puzzle that may eventually explain some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
